ACADEMICS - ENGLISH IN ACTION

English in Action is a great way for your child to learn and improve their English skills. Through interactive and academic differentiated activities depending on the students standing. Includes and welcomes students from any ES grade level.

ACADEMICS - ESPAÑOL PARA TODOS

This is a practical class for beginners, with very little or no background in the language. Covers basic vocabulary, conversation, pronunciation, and frequently used expressions. Includes practice in speaking and understanding the language of everyday life.

ATHLETICS - KRAV MAGA

Krav Maga is a pure self defence and striking system. There are no competitions or showcases for self defence scenarios. We train in Krav Maga to help us avoid and survive the worst case scenarios. If someone is threatening your life, we train on how to avoid that scenario to begin with, and if it is already beyond the point of no return, we are trained to use the most effective strikes and techniques to prevail, while under extreme stress. There are no elaborate choreographies nor absolutes. There are no uniforms and no traditions. We do not train in Krav Maga to start fights or show off. We train to save our own lives and the lives of our loved ones. As quoted by the founder Imi Litchenfeld, we train in Krav Maga “so that one may walk in peace.”

ATHLETICS - CLIMBING WALL

When children can set their own goals and then continually keep pushing themselves out of their comfort zone to achieve them - it creates great self esteem. The height can be a limiting factor for some children, but working together, building trust and confidence step by step, will help overcome fears. We are happy to announce that we will have Marie Pissoort working in our program.

FINE ARTS - KG3-KG4-KG5 - BODY PERCUSSION

In this workshop students are introduced to music through percussion instruments, mallets and the use of their own body. Students will learn how to sense rhythm in music. Body Percussion Rhythm Activities are a great way to learn music, kids naturally love to move and this is a perfect way to encourage them to engage corporal movement.

FINE ARTS - SEWING & FASHION DESIGN

If you have ever noticed that your child finds joy and pleasure in art and has a passion to spend time creating, you should choose an after school program that will let your child improve his or her creative skills and find friends to share these interests with. Our Sewing and Fashion Design class gives children an opportunity to become part of a huge, fantastic world where imagination does not just stay within the realm of a person’s mind but becomes material, has a shape, and color.

    • Choosing Extra-Curricular Activities for Your Children - All parents want their children to be well-rounded, balanced individuals and extra-curricular activities give children the opportunity to develop their skills in various areas so children develop a number of interests and talents. Although multiple activities can encourage development of different types of skills such as artistic and athletic abilities but more than 2 or 3 activities in one period like a school term or throughout one season can be expensive and will lead to an exhausted child.
